My Background
Author ("The Curse of the Black Dahlia"), consultant, coach Jacque Daniel, a native
Californian and former child actress, was a political science
major at UCLA. During
her college years and for many subsequent years Daniel assisted
her father, typing or transcribing his reports and helping to
edit his text books. These
were the years when her father, J. Paul de River, M.D., was the
first police psychiatrist for the City of
Los Angeles
, with the rank of Captain.
As police psychiatrist, he founded and directed the Sex
Offense Bureau; he helped to write the first legislation
requiring the registration of all convicted sex offenders.
Up until the time of her marriage, Daniel was known as
Jacqueline de River. For
almost fifteen years she worked for the Police Department, City
of
Anaheim
. Then, in 1976
after two and a half years of law, she started her own business
and purchased a franchise from Success Motivation Institute in
Waco
,
Texas
. Her business
includes business presentation coaching, sales and marketing
consulting, networking, prospecting and other business related
skills training. She’s
held numerous leadership positions in Toastmaster International,
has achieved the prestigious Distinguished Toastmaster
recognition and the Gene Beckwith Award, held membership in the
National Speakers Association and the Direct Marketing
Association. In addition to her own business, she has founded
business networking groups.
Daniel has taught through community colleges and provided
training for special interest groups, including Benevest Escrow,
Quaker Oats Company, Canadian Insurance, Memory Gardens, The
Radisson Hotel, the La Canada-Flintridge Country Club, 3-M
Corporation, the Santa Fe Springs Chamber of Commerce and
Industrial League, The Tustin Chamber of Commerce, The Brea
Chamber of Commerce, The Whittier Chamber of Commerce, The Pico
Rivera Chamber of Commerce, and Trak Auto Corporation.
Daniel has addressed hundreds of groups and business
conferences, including Hughes Management Club, The U.S. Postal
Employees, Senator Campbell’s Conferences, the Telemarketing
and Business Tele-communications West Coast Conference, numerous
Toastmaster International Conferences, the Society for the
Advancement of Management, The City Shopping Center Merchants
Association, the Southern California Painting and Decorating
Contractors of America, Independent Insurance Agents &

the Insurance Women of Orange County, Women in Management, Women
